Opportunities
Hiking
One aspect of scouting is enjoying the nature around you. What better way to do that, then to take a hike along a scenic trail? Scouting will get you outside, hiking with friends!
Swimming
Scouting's ranks include many swimming requirements. You will learn how to save someone who is drowning and you will learn to swim exceptionally well!
Boating
Scouting has many opportunities with boating. There are over 5 boating merit badges available in scouting. Boating is a great way to spend a cool summer evening at summer camp with friends!
Art
If you love drawing or painting, don't worry, scouting has that too! Try doing the art merit badge, which exposes you to new forms of art. You can also earn photography merit badge!
Shooting Sports
Learn how to play archery and shoot a BB Gun. These opportunities are available at summer camp so don't miss out!
Orienteering
Try using a map and compass to orient yourself to new places. During your time in scouting, you will learn how to navigate around a forest and a city!
Handicraft
Try your hand at woodcarving, or make a key chain with metalwork! Handicraft has opportunities for everyone such as leathercraft, basketmaking, etc.
Leadership
Through scouting, scouts build confidence. They become strong leaders by taking charge in their troop. Our troop has lots of youth leaders with specific jobs.
